Approaches as well as several fairways were recently aerified using the Toro 648 aerator. It's a labor intensive process but well worth it in order to benefit from the tighter hole spacing. Our tractor mounted aerator isn't able to punch holes on a 2" x 2.5" spacing. The tighter the hole spacing means there is more surface disruption and greater benefit to the turf.
