This afternoon was the HCC Greenkeeping 6th Annual FootGolf Championship, held at Red Bird Golf Links in Sapphire, NC. This has been an annual tradition my team has had for the last 6 years. The winner of this year’s event, with a score of 2 under par 31, was Lyn Zalapa! Chris Chavez and Tim Fish finished 2nd and 3rd respectively with a score of even par 33. Chris earned 2nd place in a scorecard playoff. The real winner of the event was Brandon Stockton, above, who dragged a cooler with 3” wheels, for the entire 9-hole championship!
