You'll see on hole #2, we are installing a new walk path made of a material called Kafka Granite. This is minded rock (from Wisconsin) that is crushed and then mixed with a wax binding agent. The material is popular for steep slopes because it doesn't move in rain events and offers stable footing. I think the membership will be very interested in this material for many uses. If purchased in quantities of 25 tons or more, you can have the material colored. The tan color below is its natural color, without any pigment. I'm looking forward to the feedback I receive. I first learned of this product 2 years ago during a trip to Erin Hills GC as part of a BASF contingent.
Below, the tree that fell on the 3rd hole, caused significant damage to the turf. This are will be re-sodded next week.
