Practice Green

The long line in the practice green on the range tee wasn't the result of a hydraulic leak or equipment malfunction.  It occurred when the mower picked up a tee that was stuck in the green and then dragged it across the turf.  The tee was placed in the green by a member working on their putting.  If you do this, please remember to pull the tees out at the end of your practice session.  This green is mowed daily at 5:00am.  Due to the demand on the facility, we don't have the luxury of waiting for daylight to mow.  Therefore, a tee in the ground will more than likely go unnoticed by the operator, as it did here.  It's things like this that a golfer can do to keep your facility in good shape.

And while I am talking about the range, it is shocking to me, the lack of respect some members have for the livelihood of the staff.  If a golf ball were to strike someone in the head, it could be deadly! Regardless of what you think, there are times when staff has to retrieve something in the body of the range, repair something or push balls from the target greens.  When this happens, take a short break or pick another spot to hit to.  We are trying to maintain the facility for the benefit of all members.  We aren't trying to inconvenience you!  This is a daily occurrence by those who work out there and the anger it creates is warranted.  So I ask, please respect the the staff that is trying to create a great experience for you at the practice facility.  No one on this staff is willing to risk their life over their work.
