Observations and Potential Projects


Above, the view off #12 blue tee is beautiful.  Just think- 5 years ago, you couldn't see any of this creek.


Above, in #11 creek, this rusty pipe is actually an active town water line!  This is part of the original club water system that was handed over to the town in 1980 when the Club was annexed.  Below, the non stop rain this year has created some erosion challenges that we'll have to address this fall.



Above, we you play #11, look back into this area!  There is a beautiful pool of water and creek that would be so neat to bring into view for everyday golfers.  Maybe this becomes a future project!


Above is a plug sent to NC State University that is infected with a fairy ring fungus.  Below is an example of what fair ring looks like on the surface- the dark green circle.  Fairy ring is a soil born fungus and the individual who sent the sample in, applied a fungicide but didn't add enough irrigation water to move the fungicide to where it was needed.
