This past Wednesday, a Franklin NC contractor brought this piece of equipment to the club and did about 8 hours worth of brush cutting and wood line cleaning for us. While this thing looks like the ultimate toy for grown adults, and it is, it's also very dangerous. While on a particular hole, I required staff to stay off that hole entirely. This Mulcher can run over anything including trees, provided they are 10" caliper or less. It is literally a lawnmower for trees, shrubs and debris, reducing all of it down to wood chips. Debris can be thrown as far as 150 yards from this, at speeds as fast as 100mph or more. The skid steer unit is equipped with bullet proof glass for the operators safety. This unit isn't inexpensive either. The setup you see here is $150,000 and several hundred dollars an hour to rent.
