Next week, starting on Tuesday, we are going to start getting a few loads of concrete (3 total for a combined 30 cubic yards) to fix a few areas and repair some areas that were recently excavated. This is an example of one of those areas. These 2 drain basins receive a lot of sheet flow water from Hummingbird Lane. It's dangerous and also an eye sore to those who travel this road. To fix this, we will be removing the drains and rock, forming an 18"-24" wall that will have new, larger basins build in to it. Rather than earth supported by boulders, we'll have a thick slab of concrete acting like a wall supporting the road. The bolder work on the outside will act as a screen to hide the concrete.
