Tuesday


Glad to see the temperatures staying colder.  The last thing we want this time of year is a flush of growth to the point fungal disease become active.  Frozen ground is good...it allows us the ability to access the golf course with heavy equipment without risking major damage.


This is a close up of some kind of fungus growing on a tree (bark at chest height) behind the 4th green that I noticed today while walking the property. These fruiting structures are so tiny and I'm mesmerized by them.  They're beautiful and look like tiny roses; this is something I've never took notice of in the past.
