The Economic Impact of NC Golf

As the NC legislative chair for the golf industry, I'm spending the next 2 days in Raleigh for NC Golf Day.  I'll be presenting the economic impact study to members of the State House of Representatives. It's important to maintain a presence in front of lawmakers because of the issues facing or potentially facing golf.  This includes environmental regulations, water use, taxes as well as the overall benefits  that golf brings to communities.  This event is held annually and organized by the CGCSA and our lobbyist. It is then partially supported by the CMAA and PGA Carolinas Chapters.  It's also a great opportunity to network with other industry professionals; several other superintendents, golf professionals and general managers will be in attendance.  In addition this year, several members of the management team at Quail Hollow GC will be talking about preparations for the PGA Championship,  just a few months away.

The summary sheet of the economic impact study can be viewed above.
