Monday

This morning, our spring fertilizer is being applied to the golf course.  We are using a 22-0-7 analysis that has a Polyon coating.  Polyon takes a quick release fertilizer prill and coats it in a polymer coating that allows the fertilizer to last for 6 months.

After 3.35" of rain this past weekend, we are not mowing any surfaces, rather giving them time to dry.  Mowing when it's too wet can cause irreversible damage.

Finally, we are spraying greens today with some fertilizers and a fungicide for preventative control of Pythium root rot.  These cool, damp conditions are ideal for disease development.  This morning's temperature was 45*F.
