In the 20's and 30's a relatively well know photographer took a lot of photos of the Highlands area- his name George Masa. My good friend, a former publisher of the Highlander Newspaper, gave these to me as a gift. Below, is my most favorite photo of all time. There are no trees between #5 and #6. Also, the house behind the 5th green is yet to be built, creating a view down to the lake! Imagine that for a minute!! Trees have hidden many views around the golf course.
