After a few weeks of rain, which brought 10" plus of precipitation, it restored a relatively healthy habitat in Swan Lake. The fishing committee appreciates your patience and understanding given the extreme weather we faced early in the summer. I am often asked if we lost all of our fish. The answer is, Absolutely not! We put over 3,000 fish in the lake every year and removed at most, 50 fish. This is a very small portion of the population. The fish remain stressed given the higher water temperatures and many fish are probably in deeper water. When the autumn season cools the water, the fish will begin to hit bait again. We must remain patient!
