Its another incredibly productive day in Highlands! The rain moved through last night, giving us a full day for continued progress. The crew is busy prepping bunkers, preparing for 2 loads of sod and planting trees at the croquet court.
Today, we made the first application of PoaCure. This is an experimental label that is being applied up to 2,000ft2. We have plots on greens #3 and #7, #7 approach and #11 collar. 3 applications are made in the Spring and 2 additional applications are made in the fall. By year 2, the Poa annua should be gone without noticing. The beauty of this product is the fact it kills Poa annua slowly, so golf is not affected. It's really that simple.
From the court, you can see the tops of beautiful specimen Drake Elms and Hollies.
Norway spruce, Elms and Holly's are planted along the wall on Dillard Road.
