Helena Chemical is doing some soil testing for us today using a new piece of equipment known as RX360. It measures EC (electrical conductivity) and volumetric water content and then plugs the data into a software program that will show which areas in the soil are of concern and need additional lab testing and treatments. The industry continues to become more technologically advanced although much of this type of equipment has been available to the agricultural side for a number of years.
