GCSAA president presents the check to Brian
GCSAA has 99 chapters across the country. I represent North and South Carolina. Each October, we meet in Kansas City and learn about new initiatives coming up as well as board member candidates who will be voted on at the annual meeting in February at the Golf Industry Show. Above, I accepted a check for $22,000 for money we (CGCSA) raised through the rounds for research program that HCC participated in. This money will fund turfgrass research at NC State and Clemson. I gave a 10 minute talk to the GCSAA staff, board and chapter delegates about our success with the program.
Below, I surprised by the generosity of the GCSA of New Jersey who presented me with a $2500 check to distribute to families of Superintendents personally impacted by the recent storms in the Carolina's. What an incredibly kind gesture...one I will most certainly never forget!
