This weeks forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies through today and tomorrow, with temperatures hovering around the lower to mid 80 mark once again. There is a slight chance of a shower moving in later in the week and will stick around into the weekend.
On the golf course this week we will be busy preparing for the Bob Jones Invitational on Saturday. Tuesday we will be edging yardage markers and irrigation heads, along with weedeating the ponds and creek banks on the golf course. Tuesday we will also be spraying our soils application on greens. As mentioned before this application contains soil amendments and fungicides that must be watered in to reach the roots of the plant. This morning we are performing our monthly circle cut on fairways. Circle cutting requires each operator to start at different ends of the fairway and cut continuous circles until the meet in the middle. This cuts the grass from multiple directions leaving a more upright growth habit for the ball to sit on. Please continue to check back with us through the week for any updates on your golf course!
