It is dry! We have 4-5 employees hand watering with hoses all day just to keep the golf course green. Cart path edges and perimeter areas are really starting to suffer through this drought. We are doing everything we can to stay on top of it and the crew is doing a fantastic job of it. We could simply sit back and let our irrigation system do what it can, but that isn't the work ethic his staff has. We will drag hoses...even if it means connecting 3, 100' hoses to water an area to prevent it from turning brown. That's the way we roll! In fact, it is one of the reasons it is hard selling an irrigation system...we've been our own worst enemies from that stand point. If we backed off our hand watering regime, I can assure you the irrigation system replacement would be a greater priority because the look of the course would be unacceptable.
