Bird poop on the practice green and lots of it! What is going on??
There are a number of birds nesting in the rhododendron hedge adjacent the PG. The baby birds go to the bathroom in the nest and momma bird carries it away from the nest, dropping it on the PG. It is a mess but not much can be done. This occurs every May and lasts about 2 weeks. I can literally set my watch to it! I am looking into devices that prevent nesting to use in the future. In the meantime, it won't last much longer. I asked Ken Mattis to talk to the birds but he won't do it.
There is a lot of good things happening at the Farm. We will be harvesting in about 2 weeks...speciffically, Lettuces. Please feel free to come and help yourself! This is your Club and YOUR amenity!
If you saw the new boat dock on Swan lake, this is for Camp Week. I was asked to build something that allows campers and grandparents an easier time getting in and out of the canoes. This is only temporary and can be stored when not in use.
