It was a chilly morning at 39* and a pretty stiff wind. It is a good drying wind, however. Our goal for the day is to let things dry out while we work on some detailed projects around the course. A couple rough mowers may go out after lunch. After 9" of rain, the bunkers are in a state of disrepair. A crew of 4 is out throwing sand back up on faces as well as performing a good depth check test and adding addition sand where needed. Our goal is to have a consistent 4" of sand over the bottom of the bunker. With each rain even, sand is moved to the low side of the bunker. In addition, daily raking moves some sand around as well. This requires us to depth check every couple weeks.
Friday we will start walk mowing greens and will be down to our summer height of .125" on Monday. In addition, our double cutting and rolling schedule will commence next week.
