Today, we started our annal spring hydroseed that allows us to tie up loose ends. You can see the "blue stuff" around the course that is comprised of recycled paper mulch and seed and water. The suspension is sprayed anywhere where additional turf is needed. We use a combination of fine fescues and perennial ryegrass in our mixture. Ryegrass is added because it germinates very fast and helps to stabilize the soil as opposed to the fescue with needs 10-14 days to germinate.
After lunch, the hydroseeder, rented locally, began to give us problems. the rental company has a mechanic on the way to address the issue. Hopefully it is a quick fix so we aren't waiting days for a part. This spring has been challenmging from an equipment standpoint.
