Snow Mold

I just saw these photos on the blog of a fellow superintendent. This shows you just how severe snow mold can get. There are 2 types of snow mold...grey and pink. Grey snow mold requires snow cover for development while pink snow mold just requires the pathogen, moisture and cool temps. While grey snow mold occasionally can be seen in Highlands, it isn't as common as pink snow mold. Can you imagine the feeling of seeing this after the snow melts??  They are in for a long spring and summer.
