TaylorMade

Today I had the opportunity to visit the TaylorMade Golf Ball division to consult on a potential short game area the company is wanting to build on site of their Pickens, SC facility. This is where all of TaylorMade's golf balls are produced including those used by touring professionals.  The plant manager gave us a tour of the operation following the meeting. Unfortunately, we were not able to take photos in the plant.  According to TaylorMade, Titleist has over 50% market share on the golf ball industry while TM is only 6-7%. However, they take great pride in the fact they have more PGA tour wins per sponsored player compared to Titleist (ratio).  This plant employees 100 people, operates 24 hrs a day and produces 8 balls every 22 seconds!
