Jerry Dalton is at it this morning making our new tee markers. You can see the lathe spinning in action. This is the band that will be painted the respective color of the tee.
David and Chris are removing the roof on the rain shed in front of the Harris home at the 5th tee boxes. The are re-roofing the shelters with cedar shakes. Details, Details, Details!!
This is the view at #5 tees as well. You may recall the mess of briars and other undesirable vegetation growing on the bank above the tees. We removed everything from this bank and will allow the rhododendron and Mountain Laurel to re-establish. This spring, we are going to hydroseed the bank to establish native fescues. We are making a huge effort this winter to reclaim areas of the golf course, like this one, that has disappeared over the years! I toured GM, Greg Crawford around the property this afternoon, who is most impressed with the progress.
