As the back of the driving range comes full, we moved out into the rear/center to begin filling the valley. I extended to drain pipe and we are now filling in on top of the pipe. In the next 2 years, I hope to have the entire range the same elevation. As I have said before, the cost savings to the Club have been substantial by not paying to haul clean fill off site.
We recently re-landscaped the pinestraw bed between the 1st tees and the cart staging areas. The use of Kousa Dogwoods and Hydrangeas will screen the area and add to the aesthetics of the 1st tee complex. The rhododendron didn't do too well in the full sun.
For those who don't believe me that Bermudagrass grows at HCC, dormancy makes it obvious! I am looking forward to working with UGA this coming year on some Bermuda cold tolerance trials.
The irrigation system was drained today...something we do every winter. Our new pumpstation served us well this year and will continue to for a long time!
Our holiday wreaths on club entrance pillars.
