Dryject

Today is our annual DryJect process on greens.  This process injects about 30 tons of sand into our 3 acres of putting greens.  You can see below the channel of sand created by the machine.  First, high pressure water creates a void in the soil profile.  Then, dry sand is pulled in behind it.  The primary objective is to dilute organic matter.  DryJect is one of those processes that has a cumulative benefit.  Specifically, doing it one time won't help much.  However, when it becomes a routine practice and part of our entire annual agronomic plan, it really helps keep our greens firm.
