Observations...

When I accepted the lifestyle of a "turf-head," I never believed it could consume my life.  Everywhere I go, my head is down, looking a grass, weeds and other turf related issues.  While at the back of the range yesterday, I noticed this area where old aerification plugs were dumped.  Some of the turf established and the bentgrass is thriving.  Below, are a few clumps of Poa annua.  One of the things that makes Poa annua so difficult to control is the unlimited amount of bio-types out there.  You can see 5 clumps of Poa and each one is slightly different from the next but all growing in the same square foot area!  Each one of these could respond differently to chemical treatment making controlling Poa in a golf green a nearly impossible task.
