Last week, the phone box located at the 18th tee was removed. This was done in an effort to reduce unneeded clutter on the golf course. The phone was installed in 2000 when weekend tee times started on both the 1st and 10th hole. Golfers starting on #10 used it to call the Hudson House. Of course we only start on #1 now. After looking into the usage of the phone, I discovered it was never used. The green committee discussed it and authorized its removal. The telephone on #9 tees will obviously remain in place.
