If you play golf this week and see the irrigation line dug up at the start of #10 fairway, do not be alarmed... this was not a leak. With the LEC expansion, the irrigation for the tennis courts was removed. Clay tennis courts require nightly irrigation so they stay packed and not "dusty." The old system supplied by town water. This time, I am tying it into our irrigation system. The benefit may be a small cost savings over the years in addition to conserving drinking water. Therefore, I am tying onto the 2 1/2" irrigation line that services #10 tees and running it over to the Tennis courts where we will have a new electric valve and controller. In addition to this, my staff will start the landscaping of the building, once complete, working off plans from Mary Palmer Dargan, our landscape architect. There is never a dull moment at HCC and that is why it's the best job around!
