While trenching the tennis court irrigation, it was interesting to see the makeup of the courts. They are built on top of native soil. There is a 3" (estimate) layer of coarse gravel topped off with 2" of the green clay material. I always thought there was more to the drainage system or even some form of an internal drainage system.
