The smartphone ap, skitch, is very helpful with communicating to the crew. As a superintendent, I often find myself trying to explain a job on the golf course to any number of staff members, some of which know little English. I can take a photo with my iPad, go back to the maintenance building and using a tv or LCD projector, explain tasks with specific instructions. This ap allows you to type, write, make arrows or circle anything on the photo. Once again, something you may find a use for in the future. Imagine trying to explain where you want a tree planted in your yard or even explaining to someone what tree to remove. This app helps minimize mistakes through better communication.
