Thursday

It is always great coming back to work after the GCSAA conference and show.  You return with a renewed sense of energy and appreciation for all we have going at HCC.  We hit the ground running with a few projects.  On #11, this area at the very beginning of the fairway tends to stay extremely wet.  Therefore, we stripped the sod off the area and will begin coring the native soil out and sand capping this particular spot.  It will be constructed very similar to a golf green using sand.

Our staff didn't stop just because we were out of town.  The banks on the 13th hole are completely resodded.

A new locust fence is being constructed around the back of the 16th tee.  This was done for the aesthetics and safety of the area.  This is a nice detail and theme to carry around the property.

This morning was cold (18*), but not sub zero cold!  You an see a few photos I took on the course with the trees covered in frost and ice.  Beautiful!
