In 1999, I spent a year working on the Old Course as a student at Penn State. This was probably the most "growing year" of my life for a number of reasons. What a great experience. I enjoy following my coworkers from those days on various social media outlets. Seeing photos like this are a great reminder of that experience.
The neatest part of working there was rebuilding the road hole bunker prior to the 2000 Open Championship. There is a lot of work that goes into maintaining and rebuilding revetted (sod wall) bunkers.
