These photos give you a better idea as to what we are dealing with! We found a spring running steady at the start of the fairway. By piping this and sand capping the area, I am certain this should solve this problem.
The area was cored out 10" deep with internal drainage going below that.
The area is filled with old drain lines that failed. Terracotta drains can also be seen in the photo above. This shows this are has been an issue ever since the course was constructed.
The spring is running out from under the fairway. Note how organic the soil is...just a mucky mess!
