As I mentioned last week, we aerify the 12th fairway and the range tee with our walk behind greens aerifier. With both of these surfaces built to USGA specs, it is important to get a tight spacing to remove the maximum amount of organic matter. Even though this is very labor intensive, it helps keep the organic matter levels much lower than what we would be able to achieve with a tractor mounted aerifier. In fact, the range tee was aerified a 2nd time this morning. Sand topdressing will take place after the club closes for the season.
