Rainfall update

The rain has finally ceased enough to obtain a full days work this week.  We were able to mow and spray greens this morning and are still working to clean up the golf course this afternoon.  With the rainfall total  reaching almost 13", we are planning to spray another preventative pythium root rot application to greens this Monday along with a fairway and tee fungicide spray application on Tuesday.  This is crucial because with so much rainfall you only receive about a 10 day control period of fungus. In order to cover all of our bases we need to spray on shorter intervals.  We will be very busy next week in preparation for next weekends M/G tournament.  Below you can see a water bubble in #9 fairway, this is a sight you may see as you play golf today or tomorrow.  We do pop them to allow the water or air to escape but they often times can reoccur.
