Monday

We are venting greens today with 1/4" hollow tines.  This causes minimal disruption and will be followed with sand topdressing, a calcitic lime application and a Potassium fertilizer application.  This routine is done monthly.  The main objective is to add oxygen to the root zone.  This is especially important given the large quantities of rain we received this summer.

Unfortunately, the mother swan and 2 babies are missing.  Here you see the father and 4 of the cygnets.  The golf course is home to a variety of wildlife and unfortunately the food chain takes precedent.
