AGRONOMIC MONDAY

We got a lot accomplished today on the greens.  1/4" hollow tine aerification followed by a light topdressing.  In addition, Calcitic Lime was added in addition to an 0-0-12 Potassium Fertilizer.  Our next greens venting will be scheduled for some time in August.  The greens are vented on an as needed basis.  In times of wet, cloudy weather, venting is a very beneficial process for the greens.  If we were to have a dryer summer, venting may not be as important.  Therefore, it is difficult to pick a certain day.  We work around a very busy golf schedule and differing weather patterns.
