With a slight chance of showers today and tomorrow it looks as though the forecast for the week is in our favor! With highs peaking around 79* all week we more than likely will be doing some hand watering on the golf course. Throughout the dry periods we send daily two guys out to hand water the golf course. One will water the front and the other will water the back. This not only helps us keep the grass green but can help keep the playability of the golf course better. The reasoning behind this is because of our irrigation system. In order to water a hill often times you must water the fairway as well, so by hand watering the hill it will avoid extra water in the fairway. The downfall to this is it is very labor intensive.
Another few projects we plan to work on this week, will be verticutting greens and approaches, along with regular maintenance on the golf course. Once again finally it looks as though we are into a regular weather pattern and hopefully it will continue through the next week.
