This afternoon we are verticutting greens, this is done by small blades that slightly pierce the turf canopy. As you can see below, the impact is barely noticeable. Verticutting is much like vertical mowing in that it will stand the leaf blade up, and help improve density. This will directly result in a more true roll and provide a better overall putting surface.
