This morning we are off to a busy start mowing greens, fairways, and tees and approaches. Along with the regular course maintenance we are edging bunkers and applying a preventative chemical control for pythium root rot disease. An example of this disease is below and when not treated proactively can become an issue at times. With the high humidity's and afternoon thundershowers we decided to make our first treatment this morning. During the summer we spray for it on a rotation to make sure we can prevent any developing issues.
