The past weekend brought us over 4" of rainfall...that makes it nearly 10" for the entire week. High temperatures were in the upper 40's. The sun is breaking through a little today for the Rotary Golf Tournament. Carts will remain on paths for the next 2 days provided we don't get more rain.
As we say every week, the forecast looks promising...although it doesn't seem to pan out as expected! We need sunny days on the 70's for good bentgrass growth! The new PG looks fantastic and today we are going to 'graden' (verticut/dethatching) the new turf for the first time. Despite the weather, I am really pleased with the progress. The turf is well rooted and I see it being in play earlier than my anticipated date of late June. Stay tuned for more updates!
