Highway 106 screening

If you happen to drive down hwy 106 through the HCC corridor, things will look a bit different. That is because we are removing the Hemlock hedge behind the 18th green. New hemlocks to be planted a couple feet farther off the road, are being delivered tomorrow afternoon...125 to be exact! Contrary to opinions, it is not the Hemlock Wholly Adelgid that caused the decline of these. Rather, their close proximity to the road causes them to get inundated with salt and other pollutants from the road. By getting them off the road side, I hope to have a much nicer looking screen.  This is a joint project between the Club and the POA.  The POA has done such a fantastic job of improving the campus over the last several years!
