Wednesday Productivity
Above and below are the results of heavy topdressing greens. Not only does the sand fill our aerification holes but it also acts as insulation for the turf through the winter. It protects the turf from dessication injury.
Below, Gary Dalton started putting lumber on the new cart bridge on the 10th hole. By Friday, I hope to make the maiden voyage across the new bridge during one of Mr. Beckner's visits. Let's hope it supports us!! On second thought, maybe I will just let Mr. Beckner drive over it first and hope the engineer did his work.
Finally, we started some tree limbing. Below you can see work being done on the left side of the 16th hole. The limbs have encroached far enough to limit the use of the left side of the tee box. As I always say, tree work is an ongoing maintenance program that every course needs to be committed to.
