With the 1st Round of the Men's M/G just a day away, we are doing this a bit different than normal. The greens will roll slightly faster but not much from the current speed. We roll 11 feet on the Pelzmeter daily and we don't want to deviate from that too much. A lot of time, Superintendents get carried away with green speed. Fast isn't always better! We are single cutting and rolling in the morning followed by a single cut in the afternoon. Greens are groomed daily in addition to an aggressive grooming last Tuesday. Fairways, roughs, Intermediate roughs will all be mowed in the evening. The Tees will all be cut first thing in the morning along with greens. An 8:30 shotgun start requires a 4:30am start time for the staff! We will be ready and hope the rain holds off!
