2012 White Grub Control

I pulled the trigger today on our annual white grub control. I typically wait until the first week of June but given the warmer spring we had, I would rather be safe than sorry and miss the application window. We spray 2 different products. 'Arena' in Fairways because it also offers some earthworm control, which I talked about in a previous post. In roughs, I spray a product called Acelepryn made by DuPont because it not only offers great grub control but also 3 months worth of Caterpillar control. This includes things like Army worms and Cut worms. In 2010, I saw army worms for the first time in this area. In far out of play areas, I stick with the trusty Merit because it is effective and relatively inexpensive.
